Where the Journey Started
Born on 10 October 1973 in Koinya Kantora, The Gambia, Muhammad Muhammad Touray grew up in a family rooted in faith son of Muhammad Touray and Hajja Fatima Mama Omani. His early education began in the traditional majlis of the late Al-Haj Babou Fouti in Gamibisara, where he built his foundation in Qur'an and Islamic sciences.
That early grounding sparked a desire to seek knowledge beyond his village, taking him to renowned centers of learning across West Africa and to Egypt.

His pursuit of knowledge reflects the classic path of West African scholars moving between local scholars, specialized institutes, and university education.
Traditional Studies Gamibisara
Began his studies in the council of the late Al-Haj Babou Fouti in the village of Gamibisara, learning Qur'an and foundational Islamic sciences.
Dar al-Qur'an and Hadith Tuba, Mali
Traveled to Tuba, Mali to study at Dar al-Qur'an and Hadith, deepening his knowledge in Qur'anic and Hadith sciences.
Institute of Islamic Research Cairo, Egypt
Joined the Islamic Research Institute (Ma'had al-Buhuth al-Islamiyya) in Cairo, affiliated with Al-Azhar, where he completed his secondary education with a very good grade.
Al-Azhar University Faculty of Education, English Department
Admitted to the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Faculty of Education, English Department. He obtained his Licence (Bachelor's degree) with a good grade, combining Islamic education with strong English language training.
Academic Milestones
His academic record shows consistent excellence: a primary certificate with excellent honors from Dar al-Qur'an and Hadith, a secondary certificate with very good honors from the Al-Azhar Islamic Research Institute, and a university licence from Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Education.
