His Original Biography
Where It All Began
Born in Dimanaka Qadima, Yassi District, Republic of The Gambia, Muhammad Kaowjed Camara began his educational journey before 1991 in the Kuttab of Al Drami in Baghrini, under the tutelage of Sheikh Al-Hajj Bakr Drami may Allah preserve him where he learned the principles of reading and foundational Islamic knowledge.
This traditional beginning instilled in him a love for learning and teaching that would shape his entire career.
A Path From Kuttab to University
Kuttab Drami Family, Baghrini
Started his learning in the Kuttab of Al Drami, under Sheikh Al-Hajj Bakr Drami, where he learned the basics of reading and Qur'anic principles.
Salafi Association School Sheikh Mahmoud Sissi Camara Village
Joined the school of the Salafi Association in 1991 in the village of Sheikh Mahmoud Sissi Camara — may Allah have mercy on him. Studied Fiqh and all Islamic sciences, completing his primary stage in 2000.
Islamic Union Institute Serekunda (Landil King)
Moved to Serekunda and enrolled at the Islamic Union Institute (Landil King). Studied the preparatory and secondary stages from 2000 to 2007, successfully completing his secondary education.
College of Islamic Da'wah Senegal Branch & Arabic Studies
In 2011, he gained admission to the College of Islamic Da'wah — Senegal Branch. Graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree (Licence) in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies.
Teaching and Returning to Serve
His teaching career began immediately after his secondary graduation and has continued without interruption.
Teacher Imam Malik Islamic Institute
Appointed as a teacher at Imam Malik Islamic Institute after graduating from the secondary stage, serving from 2007 to 2011.
Teacher Imam Malik Islamic Institute
After graduating from university, he returned to The Gambia and resumed teaching at Imam Malik Islamic Institute since 2015, continuing his message in education and serving students of knowledge.
Educational and Administrative Contributions
Education With Purpose
His approach combines classroom teaching with student development and administrative precision. Whether forming a committee for student affairs, training students to stand confidently before their peers, or organizing teacher supervision schedules, his work reflects a belief that education is both knowledge and character.
Since 2015, he has continued this mission at Imam Malik, dedicating his efforts to teaching and to serving students of knowledge.
